Substack Submissions Open - The Raw Society
The Raw Society invites submissions for visual stories, photography portfolios, and writing related to photography.
Open to global artists and writers, submissions must be sent by September 30, 2026.
Selected works will be published on their Substack platform.
Submissions to The Raw Society Substack are currently open! The deadline to submit your work is September 30. If selected, you will be notified by email and your story will be published the following month on our Substack.
**Raw Society members will be given preference in the publication schedule.
VISUAL STORIES
We are looking to publish visual stories that bring to light life, culture, history, and politics from a global perspective. Story-based submissions pair photography with writing for a more immersive experience for readers.
To submit a story, please email info@therawsociety.org with a link to 20-40 images, and a minimum two-paragraph description of the story you want to tell, or the accompanying article text, as well as a short bio and your email address.
PHOTOGRAPHY PORTFOLIOS
Submissions are also open for general photography portfolios or project-based portfolios.
To submit, please email info@therawsociety.org with a link to 20-30 images, an artist statement, a short biography, and your email address.
WRITING
We accept written work focused on photography and/or reviews of photography work. To submit, please email info@therawsociety.org with a minimum one-page written piece, a short biography, and your email address.
