HKIFF Industry Project Market - Open Call for In-Development Projects (IDP) and Work-in-Progress Projects (WIP)

𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐧-𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 (𝐈𝐃𝐏) 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬! Application period is valid until 30 October 2026 (00:00 HKT), while early bird discount is valid until 30 September. A special rate is also offered to new directors.
As part of the 25th Hong Kong - Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF25), and thus the larger HKIFF Industry Project Market taking place in HKCEC between 15 and 17 March 2027, selected IDPs will be invited to Hong Kong to attend the 3-day event, where they will be eligible to compete for an array of cash and in-kind awards.
Following the success of previous years’ stand-alone Animation Projects section and Genre Films section, we are excited to continue spotlighting projects in these genres.
To facilitate more productive meetings, please note that all In-development Projects, once selected, are REQUIRED to submit a pilot video no longer than 10 minutes which demonstrates a scene from the project.
Submissions for Work-in-Progress (WIP) projects, another integral part of HAF25, will be open between 2 November and 16 December 2026. Stay tuned for more details and read more here:
